Travel RN – Cardiac Med/Surg | Aiken, SC

13-Week Contract | Nights | 3 × 12-Hour Shifts

This travel nursing opportunity is on a cardiac-focused medical/surgical unit, caring for adult patients with a range of cardiac, chronic, and acute conditions. Night shift runs 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours.

Unit & Patient Population

The unit manages adult patients with cardiac, respiratory, diabetic, and post-operative diagnoses. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative care, wound care, pain management, medication administration, and ongoing assessment of patients with varying acuity levels. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and an interdisciplinary team on care coordination and discharge planning.

Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 × 12s)
• Contract: 13 weeks | Start date: September 14, 2026
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility

Required Certifications & Credentials

• Active RN license (SC or applicable compact)
• BLS & ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Institute NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly preferred

Preferred

• CMSRN certification

This role is well-suited for an experienced Med/Surg nurse who is comfortable managing diverse, higher-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced night shift environment.
