Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care on the night shift in a fast-paced, collaborative environment managing adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions.

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks
• Start Date: October 23, 2026
• Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or compact state) in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year permanent Med-Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
