Surgical Nurse (OR) – Seasonal Travel

Location: Denver, CO

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

About the Role

The facility's operating room is seeking experienced RNs to support a diverse surgical schedule. You'll work in a fast-paced environment handling elective cases across orthopedic, spine, general, cardiovascular, plastics, gynecologic, urology, and robotic-assisted procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub across multiple surgical specialties
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
• Perform pre-operative verification and accurate counts throughout cases
• Monitor patient safety and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical teams
• Document intraoperative care in the EMR
• Assist with patient positioning and PACU handoff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of acute-care OR experience
• Ability to function flexibly across surgical specialties
• ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)

Preferred Experience

• Level 4 Trauma exposure
• Orthopedic/spine nursing background

Schedule & Call

Day shift with 1–2 weekends of second call and/or 1–2 twelve-hour shifts of first call during your contract.
