Nuclear Medicine Technologist — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work in a busy nuclear medicine and PET/CT department performing diagnostic imaging procedures and radiopharmaceutical administration.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours/week)
• On-call: One weekday evening per week (4:30 PM – 10:00 PM) and one weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
• Call-back rate is minimal; emergency procedures are limited to HIDA, GI bleed, brain death, and lung studies
• Grey scrubs required

Requirements

• NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification
• State radiologic/nuclear medicine license (as applicable)
• BLS certification
• 3–5+ years of nuclear medicine experience
• Proficiency in general nuclear medicine and PET imaging
• Knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety protocols

Clinical Duties

You'll prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform approximately 10+ general nuclear medicine and 12–14 PET/CT exams daily, and operate imaging equipment. Procedures include bone scans, thyroid studies, cardiac imaging, gastric emptying, renal scans, HIDA studies, brain DatScan, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid scans, and FDG-PET. You'll float between nuclear medicine and PET as needed for direct and indirect patient care, including patient reminder calls.
