Emergency Room RN — Freestanding Emergency Department | Pasadena, TX

Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This freestanding emergency department in the Houston area is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift travel contract. The unit operates around the clock managing a broad range of emergent and urgent presentations in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Clinical Scope

• and assess patients across the full acuity spectrum
• IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedation, and splinting
• Cardiac monitoring, trauma activations, and code response
• Neurological assessments and stroke protocol management
• Medication administration, patient throughput, and discharge education

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Weekend expectations: As needed or every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Float: May float to a nearby freestanding ED location as needed

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or applicable compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS — required
• TNCC — required
• NIHSS — required
• CPI — required
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC, NRP, CEN

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs, closed-toed shoes (no open-hole clogs), no false nails
• Stethoscope required
