Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (multiple shifts available)

About the Role
The facility is seeking a competent, independent Registered Nurse for its operating room. You will provide routine and complex perioperative care, managing patients through preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery. This role requires the ability to anticipate clinical needs, manage contingencies, and collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process—assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating—for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
- Address patients' and families' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and educate patients and families on postoperative care and resources
- Demonstrate leadership and effective delegation within the clinical team
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- 1+ year of experience in nursing or related specialty (preferred)
- Current RN license in Texas or compact state
- BLS certification (AHA) required
