Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Baltimore, MD
This is a 13-week travel contract (with potential for extension to 90 weeks) on a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit in Baltimore, MD. The position is a night shift role, running 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
The Unit
This active LDR unit handles a high volume of deliveries each month and manages high-risk obstetric patients. The unit includes two operating rooms and is supported by an on-site Level III NICU, allowing for complex maternal-fetal cases. Travelers will work alongside experienced staff in a fast-paced, clinically demanding environment.
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday participation required based on unit need
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Scrub experience strongly preferred
- Current RN licensure (Maryland license or compact eligibility required)
- Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening: 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
- N95 fit test required
- 2 professional references, background check, and 12-panel drug screen required upon onboarding
