Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Mayfield Heights, OH

• Duration: 18 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Start Date: October 23, 2026

About the Role

This Med/Surg Telemetry unit provides care for a medically complex patient population requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Nurses will work in a collaborative environment managing a range of diagnoses and acuity levels typical of a high-volume med/surg tele floor, with strong interdisciplinary support throughout each shift.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required (no pending certifications accepted)
• NIHSS certification required

Compliance & Screening

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Background check must be clear with no open cases; no license hits accepted
• ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments completed during orientation — two attempts allowed to pass each
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements

Additional Notes

• Pre-start orientation modules required (average 6–15 hours); plan accordingly
• Extensions available up to 18 months of continuous placement; a 6-month break is required thereafter
• One supervisory reference from the past 12 months is required at submission (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director only)
