Registered Dietician – Outpatient Hematology Oncology
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Dietician to join its outpatient hematology oncology program. You will provide specialized nutrition support to pediatric patients undergoing cancer treatment, working directly with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition interventions.
Schedule & Duration
- 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No weekends
- 89-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy plans for pediatric oncology patients
- Manage parenteral and enteral nutrition (TPN/EN) support, including monitoring and adjustment of feeding protocols
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other specialists to support treatment goals and patient tolerance
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families
- Document interventions and track clinical outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Valid Georgia state licensure as a Registered Dietician
- Current CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration) certification
- Pediatric clinical experience required
- Demonstrated expertise in TPN, EN, and Medical Nutrition Therapy
