Medical-Surgical Nursing – Evening/Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for an evening/night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Required Credentials & Licenses

• Current nursing license with verification
• COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccines
• TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Physical/health statement and fit test
• Background check and criminal clearance
• Drug screening
• Education verification
• Specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist

What to Expect

You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, working with patients across a range of acute and post-operative conditions. Standard clinical nursing duties apply, including assessment, medication administration, patient education, and coordination of care.

About the Role

This position requires professional compliance with facility policies, confidentiality agreements, and system security protocols. You'll complete orientation competencies and demonstrate proficiency in unit-specific clinical skills before independent practice.
