Labor & Delivery RN — Asheville, NC

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Labor & Delivery position is based at a busy regional facility in Asheville, NC, supporting a full-scope obstetric unit that manages both routine and high-risk deliveries.

Shift & Schedule

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekends available upon approval; call not required

Unit Overview

The L&D unit cares for a diverse patient population across the full spectrum of obstetric acuity, including high-risk pregnancies and immediate newborn care. Common procedures include:

• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• D&C
• Cerclage
• C-Hyst

Float potential to maternal-fetal medicine, postpartum, and NICU units.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• High-risk OB experience
• Immediate newborn care skills
• Current NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Active RN license

Preferred Skills

• Circulating experience in the OR setting
