About the Role
Join the therapy team at this acute-care facility serving a diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll work with adults and geriatric patients in acute hospital care, supporting treatment plans for orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary conditions. The facility emphasizes early mobility programs, including ventilator-level mobility protocols, and maintains JCAHO stroke certification.
Clinical Environment
- Inpatient acute hospital census averages 150 patients
- Multi-unit setting with ICU, telemetry, medical, surgical, and specialty floors
- Off-site outpatient center (2.5 miles away) serves pediatric-to-geriatric populations
- Strong focus on hand therapy, orthopedic procedures (elective hips/knees), and early mobility initiatives
- Hospitalists, residents, and telemedicine intensivists on staff; 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support
Requirements
- Current California PT license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Willingness to float between inpatient acute settings as needed
