Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a busy interventional cardiology program. You'll work in a dynamic procedural environment supporting a high-volume cath lab with 10–15 cases daily.
Clinical Scope
You'll scrub and monitor procedures including interventional cardiology, structural heart interventions, and peripheral vascular cases. Procedures typically run 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with 24/7 on-call coverage for emergencies.
Requirements
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification via CCI required
- Prior cath lab experience and demonstrated competence essential
- Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
Schedule & Call
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour days (or 5 x 8-hour option)
- Contract: 13 weeks | 40 hours/week guaranteed
- Call: Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call required
- Floating: Occasional float to other procedural areas based on census
- Scheduling: Supervisor-managed; no self-scheduling
- Cancellation policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
Onboarding & Logistics
- 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation
- Scrubs provided
- Charge nurse on each shift (non-assignment)
