Registered Nurse – Wound Care

About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to join its wound care team. You'll assess, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and diabetic ulcers. This is a day-shift position with consistent hours—no call or weekend requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Execute wound care procedures: dressing changes, debridement, and advanced modalities (NPWT, etc.)
- Monitor healing progress and adjust treatments based on patient response
- Provide ostomy care and education when applicable
- Educate patients and families on wound prevention and home care instructions
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments and treatments accurately in the EMR
- Mentor nursing staff on wound care best practices facility-wide
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS certification required
- CWCN or WOCN certification required
- 1+ years of wound care experience
- Demonstrated expertise in wound assessment, debridement, and advanced wound care modalities
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
