Cardiac Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Kansas City, MO

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: September 21, 2026

Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

This cardiac telemetry unit manages a high-acuity patient population requiring close monitoring and skilled post-procedural care. The unit is supported by a charge nurse, unit secretary, and patient care technicians, creating a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Prior cardiac telemetry, PCU, or ICU experience required
• Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op open heart surgery (Day 1), and permanent pacemaker placements
• Competency administering and titrating IV drips including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone

Procedures Performed on Unit

• IV insertion, NGT placement and maintenance
• Chest tube maintenance
• Temporary pacemaker management
• Foley catheter insertion

Certifications Required

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Scheduling & Float

• Full-time hours required, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• Float possible to areas within demonstrated competency

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs; black scrub pants with navy blue top permitted
