Emergency Department Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Cleveland, OH

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (three 12-hour shifts per week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 23, 2026

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented RN for night shift coverage. You'll provide rapid assessment and care to patients across a wide spectrum of emergent and urgent conditions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• and assess incoming patients; prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
• Manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
• Monitor vital signs and patient response; document thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols; apply de-escalation techniques as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (in hand at submission)
• 1+ year permanent ED nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (active and current)
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with protocols and high-acuity environments

Additional Information

• Must work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and competency assessments required during orientation
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Background check and FBI/BCI clearance required within 48 hours of contract signing
• One manager or clinical supervisor reference required (from past 12 months)
