Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract in a busy diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab. You'll work day shifts (4x10 hours, 07:30–16:00 or 09:30–18:00) supporting high-acuity cardiac procedures.
Clinical Scope
You'll assist with diagnostic catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), coronary and peripheral angiography, structural heart procedures, and chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions. Experience with advanced support devices—including Impella, IABP, Aviggo+, IVUS, Coroflow, and Rotablator atherectomy—is required. You'll manage hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy, 3D imaging, vascular closure systems, and life-threatening arrhythmia recognition.
Requirements
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification
- ACLS and BLS
- Minimum 2 years diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience
- First-time travelers with 2+ years of experience are welcome
- Valid state license or certification at time of submission
Schedule & Expectations
- 4x10-hour day shifts
- On-call duty required every 4–5 weekends
- 32-hour orientation
- Scrubs provided
- May float to cover other departments as needed
Patient Population
Adolescents and adults; daily census approximately 25 procedures across 4 labs.
Compliance Note
Lab work within 48 hours of signing and PA state fingerprints (within 1 week) are required before start. RTO must be submitted at time of application.
