Cardiac Progressive Care Unit – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its cardiac progressive care unit. This is a 13-week contract role on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working every other weekend. You will be guaranteed 36 hours per week.
About the Unit
Essential Experience & Skills
- Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience (required)
- Telemetry monitoring experience (required)
- Proficiency with titratable cardiac IV medications (nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drips, heparin, Bumex/Lasix)
- Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) preferred
- Relief charge experience preferred
Clinical Scope
Bedside cardioversion is performed on this unit. You will work collaboratively with a charge nurse, bedside nurses, patient care technicians, and unit support staff.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Willingness to float to medical-surgical units, stepdown units, and ER holding areas
Dress Code
All white or all navy scrubs, or white top with navy pants.
