Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Great Barrington, MA | 13-Week Contract

This community hospital Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for night shift coverage. The unit provides 24-hour emergency care serving a diverse patient population across a range of acuities, including medical emergencies, trauma, cardiac events, and stroke presentations.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights, 36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required; travelers must be available to work designated holiday blocks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's windows, including surrounding weekends)

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks | Start: November 2, 2026
• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Own vehicle required
• No scheduling accommodations or block scheduling requests accepted after submission
• Maximum 5 days RTO; all must be declared at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all AHA)

Preferred Qualifications

• ED and/or Cardiac Room experience (given first consideration)
• ENPC and CEN certifications
• IV Certification
• BSN

Clinical Expectations

The role requires independent clinical judgment, strong critical thinking, and emotional stability in high-acuity and emergency settings. Responsibilities include , assessment, and management of emergent and urgent presentations across all age groups.

Dress Code: Personal scrubs, any color
