Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist

Position Overview

The facility's cardiac catheterization lab is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, as well as peripheral vascular interventions. You'll work alongside cardiologists and interventional specialists in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: Day shift, 4×10 hours (7:30 AM–6:00 PM) or 5×8 hours (7:30 AM–4:00 PM) as needed
• On-Call: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks (includes holidays)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
• Start Date: ASAP

Required Experience & Certifications

• 1.5–2 years in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac cath lab
• Current ARRT (RT) license (required in WV to operate fluoroscopy)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• ARRT Cardiac Interventional (CI) certification preferred
• Travel experience required

Core Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic catheterizations, coronary interventions (stent placement, angioplasty, PCI), and peripheral vascular procedures
• Perform as scrub tech, maintaining sterile field and assisting with hemodynamic monitoring
• Operate and maintain PACS and imaging equipment; prepare vascular access sites
• Monitor for life-threatening arrhythmias and support rapid response protocols
• Place and manage vascular closure systems, temporary pacemakers, IABP, and Impella devices

Physical Requirements

• Medium work: frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs; maximum 50 lbs
