Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
Join the operating room team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients. You'll utilize specialized knowledge and clinical judgment to deliver high-quality care in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies.
Shift & Schedule
- 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 40 hours guaranteed per week
- On-call and weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
- Must be flexible and willing to accommodate facility scheduling needs
Clinical Scope
You'll work across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, bariatrics, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and plastics. Care delivery is tailored to the physical and developmental needs of assigned patients.
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent General Operating Room experience
- Proficiency across GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics
- RN license (Maryland)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- COVID vaccination (required; declinations not approved)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Willingness to complete 48-hour onboarding compliance
Documentation Required
- Current RN license verification (less than 30 days old)
- Skills checklist specific to operating room nursing
- Resume with clear explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Two supervisory references (one from last 6 months, one from last 12 months)
- COVID vaccination documentation
