Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an RN for its medical-surgical telemetry unit. This is a 26-week contract position offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
Unit & Responsibilities
You'll work across multiple med-surg floors, with willingness to float to:
- Orthopaedics
- Medical-Surgical
- Neurology Step Down
- Oncology
- Surgical Telemetry
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Float assignments may also include the West Lakes Campus location (9.5 miles from downtown Des Moines).
Requirements
- Current, active RN license
- Specialty-specific competency testing required
- Standard health compliance screenings and vaccination requirements (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening)
- Background check, education verification, and skills checklist completion
- Professional documentation and confidentiality agreements
