Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Lawton, OK

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 21, 2026

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department is a high-volume setting caring for approximately 59,000 patients annually. You'll provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and intervention for patients of all ages presenting with medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and patients using evidence-based protocols to determine acuity levels
• Rapidly intervene and stabilize critically ill and injured patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per provider orders
• Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing equipment
• Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and EMS personnel
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain infection control and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Oklahoma (or compact license)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred

• TNCC and ENPC certifications
• Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity settings

Working Conditions

Fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to trauma and critical illness. Requires standing, walking, lifting, and physical exertion throughout shifts.
