Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Cedar Rapids, IA

This 13-week travel assignment places an experienced OR nurse in a high-volume surgical environment performing complex, multi-specialty cases. The position runs Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts (40 hrs/week) with a holiday rotation requiring coverage of 1–2 winter holidays.

Call Requirements

• On-call: 1 night per week
• Call-back coverage: up to 1 weekend per month

Clinical Scope

The OR team performs a broad range of surgical procedures, including:

• Robotic-assisted surgery (DaVinci Xi, Mako, Rosa platforms)
• Vascular surgery: TCAR, TAVR, bypass, endarterectomy, embolectomy, AV fistula
• General surgery
• Spine (preferred experience)

Both scrub and circulating roles may be involved; scrub experience is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current OR/Operating Room experience
• Proficient in DaVinci robotic-assisted surgical cases
• Proficient in vascular surgical cases
• Proficient in general surgery
• Travel nursing experience within the previous 15 months
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) and BLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Spine surgical experience
• Scrub experience

• Resume reflecting 24 months of OR experience

• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nursing leader within the past 24 months
• Valid driver's license
