Emergency Department Travel Position

Location: Independence, MO

Specialty: Emergency Department

Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (4 x 12-hour days)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week

About the Unit

The facility's Emergency Department is a high-volume, fast-paced environment managing acute and critical patients. You'll work alongside nurses, paramedics, technicians, and support staff in a collaborative, team-oriented setting with typical patient-to-staff ratios that allow for quality care delivery.

Clinical Scope

Common procedures and skills include IV starts, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring and interpretation, and rapid fluid resuscitation. You'll use standard emergency equipment and charting systems to deliver timely, evidence-based care in a dynamic setting.

Requirements

• RN: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
• Paramedic: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI
• Other staff: BLS, CPI

Ideal Candidate

You're adaptable, a strong team player, and thrive under pressure. Previous high-acuity or emergency experience is preferred. An outgoing, positive demeanor is essential in this fast-paced environment.

• RN: Gray scrub top with black or gray bottoms
• Paramedic: Gray scrub top with black or gray bottoms
• Support staff: Caribbean blue scrubs
• Colored t-shirts permitted under approved jackets
