CVOR RN – Travel Contract | Atlanta, GA

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19-Week Contract

This is a night-shift CVOR opening for a travel RN with strong cardiovascular and thoracic surgical scrub experience. The position is specifically seeking coverage through the winter holiday season, and holiday availability is a key expectation.

Clinical Scope

The CVOR team manages a full range of complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures, including:

  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Valve replacements and TAVR
  • MAZE procedure
  • LVAD/RVAD placement
  • Aortic and aneurysm repairs (abdominal, thoracic)
  • Carotid endarterectomy and stenting
  • Femoral-popliteal bypass and AV fistula repair
  • Thoracotomy, lobe resection, and VATS

Schedule & Coverage

  • Weekend rotation: Friday–Sunday
  • Call: Variable; typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5–6 weeks
  • Float: Within facility and scope of practice, including to the main OR as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience; first-time travelers considered
  • Active RN license: Georgia or Compact state required
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Local candidates accepted

Holiday Policy

Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period (up to two if three occur). All RTO must be finalized at time of submission — no schedule changes or RTO requests will be accepted post-offer or on-site.

Compliance

Full onboarding compliance required before start. Core items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; all documents due the Tuesday prior to start.
