Med Surg Telemetry RN | Elizabethtown, KY | 13-Week Contract

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

This step-down telemetry unit serves adult patients with a wide range of acute and complex medical conditions, including GI bleeds, respiratory distress, and COVID-related illness. All patients are on continuous cardiac monitoring, and the unit manages critical drips, making this a higher-acuity environment for candidates with strong telemetry and cardiac care skills.

Clinical Scope:

• Continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Administration of critical IV drips and cardiac medications
• Pre- and post-operative care including wound care and pain management
• Management of patients with acute cardiac, respiratory, and GI diagnoses
• Interdisciplinary collaboration on care planning and discharge coordination
• Patient and family education on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• BSN preferred; ADN considered per facility policy

All patient rooms are private. This is a solid opportunity for an experienced telemetry nurse comfortable managing higher-acuity step-down patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
