Labor & Delivery RN — Nights | Des Moines, IA | 13-Week Contract
This travel opportunity places you in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting managing a diverse and complex OB patient population across multiple campuses. Float coverage is required across all assigned locations.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours/week
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Holiday rotation required (1–2 holidays per rotation period)
- No on-call obligation
Clinical Scope
Requirements
- Current/recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II facility (required); Level I experience highly preferred
- Labor & Delivery experience required; postpartum/mother-baby experience preferred
- Antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery experience required
- At least one completed travel assignment within the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)
- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
- Intermediate or Advanced EFM/AWHONN certificate required
Certifications Required
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP
- AWHONN
Additional Details
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the past 24 months preferred
