Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Position Overview
Seasonal travel position in the facility's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) respiratory care department. This 13-week assignment runs 7 PM – 7 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
You'll provide respiratory support to critically ill neonates requiring advanced ventilation management. The unit uses a full range of ventilatory equipment and modalities tailored to neonatal patients. Staffing is robust, with experienced nurses and respiratory colleagues supporting seamless clinical care.
What You'll Do
- Manage complex airway and ventilator support for neonatal patients
- Assess and respond to respiratory changes in real time
- Collaborate with the NICU team on patient care plans
- Provide emergency department respiratory support as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months current NICU RRT experience
- Level III NICU experience
- Pediatric respiratory experience
- NBRC Certification
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Preferred Experience
- Critical care or PICU background
- Prior charting system experience
