Labor & Delivery Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for obstetric patients. You'll work in a high-volume L&D environment, utilizing specialized clinical knowledge to deliver care aligned with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 36 hours guaranteed per week
- 13-week contract
- On-call schedule and weekend expectations to be determined by the facility
- No scheduling restrictions; flexibility required
Core Requirements
- 2+ years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience
- Current Maryland RN license
- Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- Active NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- COVID vaccination (required; state record must be current)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Willingness to complete 48-hour compliance requirements before start date
- Ability to obtain or maintain required certifications

Current RN licensure verification (less than 30 days old), resume with gaps over 30 days explained, two supervisory references (one from last 6 months, one from last 12 months), and a completed L&D-specific skills checklist. Local candidates welcome; no radius restrictions apply.
