Emergency Department RN — Kansas City, MO

4 x 12 | Nights (12:00–00:00) | 13-Week Contract

Join a fast-paced Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population across three distinct care areas: a Rapid treatment zone, a Main ED, and a psychiatric-safe environment (POD 3). The department manages a broad acuity range, from behavioral health presentations to high-acuity medical and trauma cases.

Clinical Scope

• Procedures include chest tube management, port placement, arterial line management, and ventilator/BiPAP care
• Comfort with EKG interpretation and use of rapid infuser devices expected
• De-escalation skills are essential given the psych-safe care area

Schedule & Requirements

• 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• 48 guaranteed hours available
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 4-week schedule
• 2 major and 2 minor holidays required
• Float requirement to a nearby ED location

Required Skills & Attributes

• Strong prioritization and time management in a high-volume environment
• Completed de-escalation training (CPI preferred)
• Patient-focused, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player
• Positive attitude and willingness to be coached
