Labor and Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract, working nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. You'll join a team delivering comprehensive maternity care in a modern, family-centered birthing environment.
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and postpartum mothers, collaborating with obstetricians and midwives. The facility offers private birthing rooms with monitoring equipment and specialized operating rooms for Cesarean deliveries. Services include anesthesia and lactation support available 24/7.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
- Postpartum/Mother Baby care experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Active BLS (American Heart Association), NRP, and STABLE certifications
- Current skills documentation for L&D, postpartum, and mother-baby nursing
- Supervisory reference from within the past 2 years
- Personal vehicle required
- Every-other-weekend availability and holiday flexibility as needed
What to Know
- On-call responsibilities as assigned
- 8 hours non-billable orientation
- No more than 5 days of requested time off permitted
- All scheduling requests and time-off needs must be submitted with your application
- The facility does not approve scheduling changes after offer stage
