Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Float Pool
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its medical-surgical float pool. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on an every-other-weekend/holiday schedule across multiple units, providing flexible staffing support where needed most.
Unit Details
You'll float to medical-surgical floors including orthopedics, general med-surg, neurology step-down, oncology, surgical telemetry, and med-surg telemetry. You may also be assigned to the West Lakes Campus location (9.5 miles away). This role demands flexibility, strong assessment skills, and the ability to quickly orient to different patient populations and acuity levels.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Vaccinations: COVID-19, influenza, MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and varicella
- Two-step TB screening (PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and physical/health statement
- Background check and drug screening
- Pre-employment skills checklist and competency testing
Contract Details
- 26-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Start date: October 6, 2026
