Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its medical-surgical telemetry unit. This is a 26-week contract position based in Des Moines, Iowa.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
• Schedule: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Clinical Scope

You will provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. The role requires willingness to float to multiple units, including orthopaedic, medical-surgical, neurology step-down, oncology, surgical telemetry, and medical-surgical telemetry floors. Occasional floating to an alternate campus location (approximately 9.5 miles away) may be required.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
• Specialty-specific competency verification
• Standard health screening and vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening)
• Background check and credentialing clearance
• Willingness to float across multiple patient populations and acuity levels
