Cardiovascular ICU – Travel RN | Overland Park, KS

13-Week Contract | Days | 4×12 | Start: October 2026

This high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU opportunity is ideal for experienced ICU nurses looking to work in a specialized, high-expectations environment with a tenured and skilled team. Guaranteed 48 hours per week.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Shift: 07:00–19:00, three shifts per week
• Weekend requirement: 3 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 48/week

Clinical Scope & Patient Population

The Cardiovascular ICU manages complex cardiac patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. Clinical competencies required include:

• Telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring
• Pressor and positive inotrope management
• Pacemaker management
• Chest tube and pericardial drain care
• Cath/EP Lab recovery
• Open heart procedure support
• ECMO cannulation

Floating

Candidates must be willing to float to Medical ICU and floor units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 1–2 years CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience a plus (nights)
