Cardiac Operating Room Technician

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced CVOR scrub technician to join the cardiac and thoracic surgery program. You'll support a high-volume mix of cardiac and thoracic procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Clinical Scope
You'll scrub cases including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Valve replacement and repair
- Aortic dissection repair
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
- Thoracic surgery (including daVinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy)
- Procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO initiation, and pericardial window placement
- Open thoracotomy and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
Requirements
- Proficiency in cardiac bypass cases and related mediastinal procedures
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to take on-call assignments (unit operates 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; call begins at 3:00 PM when assigned)
- Weekend call availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday as assigned)
- Hospital-provided scrubs
