Interventional Radiology Technologist – Richmond, VA

Position Overview

Join the interventional radiology team at the facility in Richmond, VA for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a day shift role (7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 36 guaranteed hours per week) supporting a dynamic procedural environment.

About the Unit

The interventional radiology suite performs a wide range of image-guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, angiograms, peripheral vascular interventions, paracenteses, thoracentesis, and line placements. You'll also assist with imaging needs including CT coronary, MRI monitoring, and myelograms. The team consists of 3–4 technologists, 3–4 RNs, and 1 scheduler/coordinator during day shifts. RNs do not scrub cases.

Required Qualifications

• Critical care experience
• Procedural area experience (required)
• Moderate sedation certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Radiologic technologist licensure

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• Prior EMR experience

Schedule & Expectations

• Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts (or equivalent 36-hour weekly schedule)
• 1–2 nights of call per week
• 1 weekend of call every 4–5 weekends
• Minimal floating; may assist in CT, MRI, or radiology as needed
• Scrubs provided
