Emergency Department Nurse – Night Shift

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department
• Shift: 18:45–07:15 (nights)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Every other weekend; flexibility required to meet departmental needs
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

About the Role

Join a busy emergency department serving a diverse community. You'll provide care across all ED areas, including medical, trauma, behavioral holds, and stroke patients. The unit supports high-acuity, high-volume patient care with strong teamwork and collaborative leadership.

Clinical Environment

• Support from ED techs, staff, and unit clerks
• Emphasis on AIDET patient experience standards and real-time communication with patients throughout their visit
• No floating outside the ED; flexibility to float within all ED sections required

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (state-specific)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
• Previous HCA experience a plus
• Certifications required before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
