Labor & Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract

- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every third weekend
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract

Position Overview
Join the labor and delivery unit at the facility to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to pregnant patients and families. You'll support labor management, delivery assistance, postpartum care, and newborn transition to extrauterine life.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Specialty-specific competency validation required during onboarding
- Required health screenings: TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), MMR, hepatitis B, varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, physical exam, and drug screening
- Fit testing for respiratory protection
- Criminal background check, education verification, and standard compliance documentation
What to Expect
You'll work as part of a committed team in a fast-paced obstetric environment. This role involves direct patient care, patient education, and coordination with obstetric and pediatric teams. Be prepared for the dynamic nature of labor and delivery nursing—patients may arrive unexpectedly, and your clinical judgment and flexibility are essential.
