Emergency Department Nurse
Shift: 18:45–07:15 | Contract: 13 weeks | Location: Asheville, NC
About the Role
Join a high-volume emergency department serving over 100,000 visits annually. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic, trauma-focused setting that manages a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, and behavioral health cases.
Unit Details
- No floating outside the ED, but flexibility to float between all ED sections required
- Unit clerks and technicians available to support workflow
- Navy scrubs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency setting
- Experience in a high-volume trauma and stroke center preferred
- Strong teamwork mentality; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work all ED areas, including every-other-weekend scheduling
Required Certifications (Before Start Date)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
