High-Risk Labor and Delivery RN

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (three 12-hour night shifts per week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: Rotating weekends; floating to antepartum unit as needed

About the Role:

The facility's labor and delivery unit specializes in high-risk obstetrical care. You'll manage complex patients through labor, delivery, and recovery—working in a fast-paced environment where clinical expertise and compassionate care make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside care for high-risk obstetrical patients during labor and delivery
• Circulate in cesarean sections and recover high-acuity postpartum patients
• Manage vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, dilation and curettage (D&C), and postpartum recovery care
• Monitor fetal status and respond to clinical changes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience
• High-risk obstetrical bedside training
• Current RN license (state-specific)
• Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certification (preferred)

Unit Details:

• High-acuity patient population with continuous monitoring capabilities
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Dress Code:

Scrubs required. Clean, healthy nails (no artificial enhancements); hair neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer. Tattoos should be covered when feasible. No visible piercings except ears.
