Critical Care Nurse – 6-Month Winter Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Critical Care Nurse for a 6-month long-term assignment to support operations through the winter season. This role offers the stability of an extended contract with a predictable schedule.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
- Rotation: Every other weekend; every other holiday
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Clinical Scope
You'll provide care in a medical-surgical telemetry unit, managing patients requiring cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level acuity. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
Required Credentials & Clearances
- Active nursing license with verification
- COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccines
- PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/QuantiFERON Gold or T-SPOT)
- Fit test
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
- Education and license verification
- Child and adult dependent abuse training
Onboarding Requirements
Standard professional documentation, confidentiality and system security agreements, skills checklist, and facility-specific competency testing are required prior to start.
