Night Shift Med/Surg Oncology Nurse – Des Moines, IA
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its medical-surgical oncology unit on the night shift. This is a 13-week contract assignment.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other holiday and weekend (EOH/EOW)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Setting
You'll care for oncology patients in a medical-surgical environment, supporting treatment plans, symptom management, and patient education during the night shift. This role involves direct patient care and collaboration with the interdisciplinary oncology team.
Requirements
- Current RN license with active verification
- Specialty-specific competency testing (onboarding)
- Standard health screening and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, PPD/IGRA, Tdap, Influenza)
- Criminal background check, education verification, and abuse training
- Physical/health statement clearance
