Emergency Room / Medical-Surgical Float RN — Critical Access Hospital | Julesburg, CO

This per diem position is based at a critical access hospital in Julesburg, CO, serving a birth-to-geriatric patient population across Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas. Float coverage between both units is required.

Schedule & Contract

• 3 × 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 26, 2026

Clinical Scope

The ED caseload includes COPD, diabetes, CHF, cardiac conditions, and trauma. Nurses must be comfortable managing cardiac and diabetic drips and independently mixing medications, as there is no in-house pharmacy. Telemetry monitoring is utilized throughout the unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient RN experience
• Active Colorado RN license (required at time of submission)
• Required certifications (must be on file at submission):
• TNCC
• ACLS
• BLS
• Comfort working in a small, self-sufficient critical access environment
• Ability to float between ED and Medical-Surgical
