Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Arlington, VA

13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 4x10-Hour (06:30–17:00)

The facility's Operating Room is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The unit manages a diverse surgical caseload with an emphasis on trauma, neurosurgery, and orthopedic spine procedures.

Schedule & Call

• Four 10-hour day shifts (06:30–17:00)
• On-call requirement: 3–4 call shifts every 6 weeks, 8 hours each (must be within 30 miles/30 minutes of campus)
• Holiday coverage expected; time-off requests should be minimal and submitted upfront

Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or Compact license — must be in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Experience with trauma, neuro, and orthopedic spine cases strongly preferred
• Electronic health records training will be required prior to start; candidates must be prepared to attend an orientation class (duration based on recent charting experience)

Vaccinations

• COVID-19: Required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Influenza: Required during flu season, October 1 – March 31 (medical exemptions only)

Additional Details

• Floating may be required in rotation with staff per Joint Commission standards
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules required
• Smoke/nicotine-free facility
• Start date is contingent on electronic health record training schedule
