Interventional Radiology Technologist – Peripheral & Neuro IR | Columbia, SC
This travel assignment places you in a busy Peripheral and Neuro Interventional Radiology department managing a diverse caseload across all age groups — pediatric through geriatric — including high-acuity trauma and comprehensive stroke patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift, 5x8 hours; varied start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
- Weekend coverage supported by a rotating on-call schedule shared among the team
- After-hours call (after 5 PM daily) rotates between primary and backup call techs
Contract Details
- 13-week contract (26-week option available)
- Start date: November 2, 2026
- 24-hour orientation
Clinical Scope
The department handles 15–20 cases daily across three procedure rooms. You will perform:
- Neuro procedures: stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling and stenting, AVM embolization, carotid stenting
- Peripheral/body angiography
- Line access: port placements, PICC placement, dialysis catheter placement
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (VI) strongly preferred
- BLS certification
- Active South Carolina Radiography State License
- Minimum 1 year of neuro interventional radiology experience
- Fluency in a major hospital EMR system preferred
Additional Notes
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Float to qualified units/campuses may be required based on census needs
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
