Interventional Rad Tech

Interventional Radiology Tech — Neuro/Peripheral IR | Columbia, SC

This position is within a high-acuity Peripheral and Neuro Interventional Radiology department serving a broad patient population — including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients — with complex neurological and vascular conditions.

Schedule & Contract

• 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
• Varied 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
• After-hours and weekend coverage provided through a rotating on-call schedule shared among 6–8 staff members
• 13–26 week contract options; start date November 2, 2026
• Orientation begins on Mondays; pre-start compliance modules required (up to 16 billable hours)

Clinical Scope

The department manages 15–20 cases daily across 3 IR suites. Required neuro interventional experience includes:

• Stroke thrombectomy
• Aneurysm coiling and stenting
• AVM embolization
• Carotid stenting

Peripheral and body procedures include port placements, PICC placement, dialysis catheter placement, and peripheral/body angiography.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, respiratory services, physical therapy, and interpretation services.

Requirements

• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (VI) strongly preferred
• BLS certification
• Active South Carolina Radiography State License
• Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience with demonstrated neuro IR competency
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs.
