Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Saratoga Springs, NY | Nights | 13 Weeks

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift contract (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts).

Clinical Scope

The ED serves a diverse patient population spanning neonates through geriatrics in a high-volume environment. Nurses manage a broad acuity mix and are expected to perform , obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs, and demonstrate competency in rhythm identification and dysrhythmia management.

Shift & Scheduling

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• Block scheduling accommodated when possible
• Up to 3 call-offs permitted per contract
• Floating within the hospital may be required at manager's discretion based on skill set
• Maximum pre-approved time off: 7 days or fewer

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• ACLS preferred; TNCC a plus

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of current ED experience preferred
• experience required
• Telemetry/rhythm interpretation required
• Must pass a facility-proctored EKG exam (≥85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms)
• A pre-screening EKG assessment must be completed within 72 hours of signing

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine required by November 1
• Non-local candidates only (permanent residence outside a 50-mile radius required)
• Pre-employment online modules must be completed by the Wednesday prior to orientation start
