Emergency Department RN — Asheville, NC

13-Week Contract | Night Shift (18:45–07:15) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

This ED position supports a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department serving a richly diverse, multicultural community. The unit is known for its strong teamwork culture and welcoming staff who take pride in delivering equitable, patient-centered care.

Unit & Clinical Scope

• Fast-paced ED with a broad patient mix including medical, behavioral health holds, and stroke patients
• Techs support cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and ; unit clerks are present on all shifts
• Floating within the ED to all sections is required; no floating outside the department

Schedule

• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No block scheduling commitment; schedule must meet department needs

Required Certifications (before start date)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC within 90 days of hire

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ED setting
• Experience in a high-volume emergency or trauma environment strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork orientation with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work all areas within the ED
