Interventional Radiology Technologist
Position Overview
The facility's Interventional Radiology department is seeking an experienced IR Technologist for a 13-week travel contract. You'll work day shift (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) in a high-volume IR suite performing a diverse range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Clinical Scope
You'll support 10–12 procedures daily across three procedure rooms, including:
- Embolization and Y-90 procedures
- Stroke thrombectomy and neuro coiling
- Peripheral interventions and diagnostic cerebral cases
- Trauma cases, drain placements, biopsies, and spine work
Schedule & On-Call
- Day shift: 4 × 10-hour days (7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
- On-call: 1 weekend per month and 1 night per week
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months current IR Tech experience
- BLS certification
- Active Kansas radiologic technologist license (ARRT)
- Ability to remain flexible, handle high-stress cases, and maintain a positive approach
- Strong patient care focus
Preferred
- Prior stroke intervention experience
- Experience at large trauma facilities
